Many thanks to Pete Fowler, and all those others who helped make this day happen. Pete spent hours with the shippers, wrapped the car in cotton wool and ensured it arrived in the UK in one piece, without him, this day would not have happened. The car is such a joy to drive, really easy, no vices, I can't wait to get back in the seat. I will need to go to the gym a bit more, my neck is still aching 2 days later! Mike

I too am a new Stohr owner. I purchased the one that was advertised in Sportscar at $23,900.00. Sounded to good to be true.... it was a spontaneous buy. It was a fair price for the car although I believe Pete's was a better value. I'm now going thru what Pete went thru altough I have more to do. My car needs lots of little things that are becoming the tail wagging the dog.... My thinking now is to have Stohr convert the car to accommodate the GSXR1000, and perhaps the WF1 rear end depending on cost/benefit. This process will take care of many items on the to do list. The seller had advertised the engine as new, I guess he meant new to the car as this motor appears to be out of a bike, complete with road rash and is bone stock. I can't wait to drive the car but it now looks like it will be early next year before I get to do so. Enjoy! Paul

Registered Member Posts: 3 09/02/09 10:53:22	Preparation is always the key to a fast car, the more you do before you get to the track, the less you have to worry. I'm sure Peter prepared my Stohr 100% and it shows, but John my mechanic and I still put in a lot of hours before the first test at Silverstone, new wiring, fuse box, "muffler" , new foam seat, full suspension setup and geometry check, new fuel lines, etc, etc, etc. And this was to a car already prepped to a very high standard. All the work always pays off in the end. I want to roll the car out of the transporter, fill it with fuel and test or race. Everything else should be done before you leave for the circuit, not when you get there. I hope one day that Pete will come to the UK and show me how you drive a Stohr, I already have an idea for 2010, it would be a good challenge, and Pete is a worthy rival. Mike
